Woolworths EMP Training Course 2025

Dear Valued Woolworths Suppliers

In an ongoing effort to continuously improve and therefore safeguard the quality, integrity and food safety of Woolworths products, there has been a request from Woolworths to conduct a Virtual Environmental Monitoring Programme (EMP) Workshop with suppliers.

There will be no cost to the suppliers for this training and we encourage all suppliers to allow their teams to attend.

The training is based on the Environmental monitoring and Pathogen reaction guideline. The new set of guideline will expound and provide guidance to the following Woolworths Manufacturing requirements.

The training will cover the following aspects:

What is an Environmental monitoring programme (EMP)
Why have an EMP programme
How the implement
Investigating out of specification results
The seek and destroy approach
Trending
Persistent strains
Different transmission pathways
The Pathogen reaction guideline

This EMP Workshop is aimed at (and not limited to) the following personnel at your facilities:

Technical
QA

Information to Note

As these Workshops will be run virtually, in order to participate, you will only need to have the following in place for the full duration of the course:

Good internet connectivity
A good functioning camera
Back-up access to the online platform should your laptop /PC fail or experience loadshedding on the day.
